I’m a few days late, due to me not logging in to my account, but i’m delighted to announce that this image from Craig & Charlotte’s wedding earlier this year, has won me my first award for a wedding photograph, a Bronze Award in the monthly Guild of Photographers competition. The image shows Craig, with his groomsmen, talking to his neighbour over the wall at the front of his parents house. We had just finished doing some pictures with his family in the back garden and were all set to head to the wedding venue. Craig stopped to talk to his neighbour and as soon as I saw the decorator up the ladder, I knew there was a picture to be had. This is the kind of image i look for throughout all my wedding work. It’s a pure moment with nothing set up about it, where things just happen. I’d love to be able to remember what they were talking about though!
