Alcumlow Wedding Barn Photography
Situated on the outskirts of Congleton, it's hard to believe that Alcumlow Wedding Barn was a chicken farm, not so many years ago. With fields either side of the driveway and views of Cheshire landmarks in the distance, the transformation that has been made to this unique Dutch Barn style wedding venue is incredible.
The wedding Barn
The converted wedding barn at Alcumlow is fabulous. As you walk through the sliding doors, you are greeted by hundreds of fairy lights. The tables and chairs are set to the right for your wedding breakfast. The bar is the opposite side, to the left. The space directly in front of you as you walk inside is where the wedding ceremony takes place. In the evening the wedding ceremony section becomes your dancefloor, with space set aside for a band should you choose to book one. On the other hand, Alcumlow has a lovely little surprise. What happens if you decide you'd rather get married outside?
The White House
Located round the side of the wedding barn is The White House. This unique wedding structure allows the bride and groom to hold their wedding ceremony outside, surrounded by all their friends and family. Once the happy couple have exchanged their vows, they quickly pop inside the wedding barn, just to complete the legal formalities and sign the register. Alternatively, if you wanted a religious ceremony, there are some lovely countryside churches within a short distance of the wedding venue.
Can I get ready for my wedding here?
The fantastic staff at Alcumlow have recently moved their bridal prep rooms across the venue. Brides now have a choice of rooms where they can get ready with their bridesmaids. Each room has a light and airy feel and will certainly benefit the photographs from the morning section of your wedding day. What if you need overnight accommodation for your wedding? Alcumlow have recommended nearby cottages and hotels that you are able to book.
Why I love photographing weddings at Alcumlow.
There are so many great places to have your bride and groom portraits done here. Whether it be amongst the corn field in the beautiful setting sunlight, alongside the small lake, or even within the grounds of the Spanish inspired Stone Courtyard Garden at the rear of the barn. There are plenty of photographic options. There is the rustic wood of the barn or the old brickwork. Maybe the greens fields and views or the small pond at the rear. All offer great options for bridal and groom portraits. The staff at the venue are always so helpful and welcoming too. You can see that they love every wedding that they play a part in.
Where is Alcumlow Wedding Barn?
