I was recently asked to shoot James and Alexa’s wedding at one of my favourite Cheshire wedding venues- Delamere Manor. One of the best things about working as a wedding photographer in Cheshire is there is such an array of beautiful venues, and Delamere Manor certainly doesn’t disappoint. Previously the home of Gary Barlow, this grand manor house is an award-winning, exclusive use wedding venue set in the Cheshire countryside.
Delamere Manor, Cheshire

Delamere Manor is ideally located for weddings in Manchester, Cheshire and Liverpool. It’s one of the most exclusive and luxurious wedding venues in Cheshire, and it’s not difficult to see why this venue wins awards. Delamere Manor boasts so many options for your wedding ceremony and reception, including five licensed outdoor spaces for wedding ceremonies. It is also set in over 100 acres of rolling Cheshire countryside and overlooks a stunning six-acre lake. As a wedding photographer, the beautiful grounds are one of my favourite features, and I was able to capture some outstanding shots of James and Alexa enjoying the surroundings.
I joined Alexa on the morning of the wedding to shoot some bridal prep images, which really captured the excitement of the bridal party getting ready before the big event.

One of my favourite moments at any wedding is when the father of the bride sees his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time: it’s always an emotional moment and as a wedding photographer you couldn’t ask for a better photo opportunity. This was certainly the case when Alexa’s dad first saw her in her dress at Delamere Manor- these were some great moments to capture!

I also spent some time with James and his groomsmen ahead of the ceremony. Delamere Manor is the ideal venue to really feel at home and enjoy the day, as these images of James and his friends show!

Wedding Photography at Delamere Manor
James and Alexa chose to have their ceremony in Delamere Manor’s contemporary, glass-fronted Courtyard. The Courtyard has a fairy light canopy and a fully retractable roof, which gives the feeling of being outside while safe in the knowledge that cover is only a few seconds away, should the British weather decide to strike!

The wedding breakfast was also held in the Courtyard, which was ideal for me as a wedding photographer as the room has lots of natural light which is a dream for photographs! Once they were all well fed with the fantastic food and drink, we headed out to the fabulous grounds surrounding Delamere Manor for some pictures of the new Mr & Mrs Harrison.

James and Alexa had their first dance in the Courtyard before moving into another space to enjoy the rest of their evening party. The space we moved into was actually Gary Barlow’s old recording studio, which has now been styled by Delamere Manor as an exclusive Cheshire nightclub for the wedding party’s private use: the perfect space for a party!
