Dave Thompson,
Stockport and Manchester Wedding Photographer
Yep, that’s me on the right, carrying a bride’s bouquet and my cameras whilst working at a wedding with my good friend Clara Lou. To be honest, it’s not an unusual sight when I am photographing weddings. Whilst I try to work as a wedding photographer in an unobtrusive way, I do like to muck in and help out with anything that a bride may need on the day, whether it be putting Grandad’s flower on his suit, or nipping to the shop for emergency bacon butties!
Who am I?
Well that one’s fairly easy. I am a 44 year old father of two living in Stockport with my wife of nearly 20 years, Caroline. We have a cat called Arthur who hates me, but doesn’t mind waking me up in the middle of the night to let him in when it’s raining! Our two boys are 15 and 17 and are now as tall as me.
My background as an editorial photographer allows me to capture moments during your wedding that you may not see during your day. For over 20 years, from leaving college in 1997, I worked as a press photographer, in an industry where it was my job to capture moments, so I have transferred all that experience into the way that I work as a wedding photographer.
You can find some examples of work in my Portfolio or by taking a look at my featured weddings.
Tell me about your wedding plans.
When a couple contact me about discussing their wedding, it’s the first step on a very exciting path. I would love to hear more about your wedding day and what you have planned so if you’d like to arrange to meet up and tell me about it please drop me a line. We can arrange to have a drink face to face or via one of the many wonderful ways that technology allows us to meet up virtually.
