There is something about Country House weddings that makes you walk a little taller. This is especially true at Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire. Is it the grandeur of the 19th Century Edwardian Building? Or maybe it is the magnificent 60acre grounds surrounding it? Or perhaps it’s the 28 double bedrooms and 8 suites that are available for guests. Whichever it may be, picking Nunsmere Hall when planning your wedding is a great choice. The video below is from a wedding I shot on my first visit as a Nunsmere Hall wedding Photographer. You can read more about it here in my blog.
Sir Aubrey Brocklebank
This exclusive wedding venue was originally built for Sir Aubrey Brocklebank around 1900. It now provides brides and grooms with beautiful civil ceremonies for their Country House Weddings. The venue also host meetings and events.

Venue Exclusivity
As a bride and groom, your wedding day at Nunsmere will prove unforgettable. As a venue which allows exclusivity, having the place to yourselves is sure to make you feel like a King and Queen for the day. The magnificent grounds surrounding the venue also provide wonderful photographic backdrops for you and your guests.
Can I get married outside at Nunsmere Hall?
Yes you can! The venue offers a number of rooms inside you can get married in. If you are planning a wedding with a small number of guests you could choose the Library or the Oakmere Suite. For larger wedding there is the option of the Crystal or Brocklebank suites. If you are planning a MUCH bigger wedding, there is the newly added marquee at the venue.
If your heart is set on outdoors though, you will make your way through the beautiful gardens. Along the way you walk through the Wisteria Rose Arbor to be greeted by your guests. How perfect.
Nunsmere Lake
As well as the grounds, there is also Nunsmere Lake. The whopping 60 acres of water flanks three sides of the venue. With the pathways leading to it, this provides all newlyweds the option of some tranquility on their wedding day. It can take a few minutes to walk to, but it’s well worth the time when you get there, if just for a little peace! Let’s be honest. Parts of your wedding day are manic! Taking time to walk to the lake, just allows you both to recharge your batteries. You can also get some memorable photographs too.

Photographs from Country House Weddings
The time of year you choose to get married in can also have a baring on your photographs. Photographs from Country House Weddings that take place in Spring will have far more flowers and colour than one in November. That doesn’t mean your pictures won’t look great. As a photographer who tries to capture the natural moments from your wedding, these are things I always factor in. Another is the light, along with the sunset.

On site Parking
You may not be surprised to hear that there is on site parking for guests to Nunsmere Hall. After making your way along the tree lined driveway, you will arrive at the front of the hall. If you have guests who may need assistance as they arrive at the hall, it’s worth ringing ahead. The venue will happily reserve a space closer to the front.
