Winter’s shorter days mean that as a photographer, you can make full use of golden hour lighting, which arrives earlier than in other seasons. For evening receptions, candlelight and fairy lights create dreamy, intimate images that really capture the warm atmosphere of the event.
3. Make use of reflective surfaces
Ice, frost, or even puddles can act as natural reflectors, adding depth and creativity to your wedding photography. Capturing a couple reflected in a frozen lake or walking hand in hand through frost-tipped grass makes for a truly unique shot that perfectly captures the season.
4. Incorporate seasonal props
Sparklers, warm blankets, or even cups of mulled wine can create fun and intimate moments. Winter weddings also tend to feature lush, textured bouquets with deep colours that photograph beautifully.
5. Get creative with interiors
