Village Point Wedding – Katie & Anthony

Katie & Anthony’s August wedding was my first working as a Village Point wedding photographer. They were also one of the many couples who had to rearrange their wedding due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Planning a wedding and starting a new working life together in the Czech Republic. Talk about hectic! Not long after they arrived there, the pandemic began and around July 2020 came the realisation that their planned date for October was unlikely to go ahead.

Thankfully they were able to rearrange most of the suppliers and their planned venue, the Village Point in Heaton Moor was still able to host their reception.

Wedding reception at the Village Point, Heaton Moor

Katie had joined her bridal party at her parents home before making her way to St. Paul’s Church in Heaton Moor. After dancing her way down the aisle and exchanging vows, the new Mr & Mrs walked with their guests, accompanied by a brass band, to celebrate just down the road at the Village Point in Heaton Moor.

Showers, Flowers and Pig masks!

We had managed to dodge the worst of the showers throughout Katie and Anthony’s wedding. There was even time for guests to spill out onto the front of the wedding venue to enjoy some close up magic with the brilliant Dan Rhodes. With the drizzle easing off we also found the time to sneak off to a local park for pictures of the bride and groom together. As for the pig mask? Well, what gets said in the speeches, must stay amongst the speakers!
